Times: Upholding Christian values in Europe

The European Parliament elections of June 6 are near and, as a committed Catholic, I want to use my vote wisely but I have some difficulty as to whom to trust.

Malta is practically alone in the EU in safeguarding certain Christian values. For the past 2,000 years we lived by these values and they served our nation well.

European statistics show clearly what happens when these values are done away with.

Jesus gave his life for these values and my vote will go to the candidates who will declare themselves in favour of these values, namely: that marriages are for life and only between a man and a woman, in favour of life since the moment of conception, and that God is the only giver of life and only He has the power to take it away.

So I expect all EP candidates to declare where they stand.
