Patrick Attard announced his candidacy today 10 Feb 2008 during a public interview.

Some of Dr Attard’s statements during the public interview:

“Studies show that for an economy to function and succeed, it has to fulfill 3 T’s, talent, technology and tolerance.”

“In the last five years the public has progressed at a fast pace but the political climate is still lagging behind”

“Alternattiva Demokratika is the only secular political party and therefore the only alternative party that considers social themes that other mainstream parties often shy away from.

Patrick added that "although many in politics are gay they lack the courage to come out publicly. Malta is small and everyone is known to an extent.
Patrick message is clear : we can make use of available talent, be tolerant. For our country to progress we can not set anyone aside. Yes everything is possible when we work together, Working together in a coalition."
