A new video advocating for LGBT Irish people to “bring your family with you” to vote for same-sex marriage next month is pretty emotional.

The Republic of Ireland is set to vote on May 22 on a proposal to introduce civil same-sex marriage.
BeLong To, the Irish coalition of equality orgnaisations posted the video, which features a number of well-known actors such as Aaron Heffernan, Ruth McCabe, Steve Wall, Elva Trill, Kelly Campbell, Denise McCormack, Eric Lalor, Alan Archbold, Chris Newman, Scott Graham, and Emily O’Callaghan.
It puts an emphasis on friends and family of LGBT people voting “Yes” in the referendum, and the importance of support from those close to gay people.
Featured in the video is one father who tells his daughter “I wouldn’t miss it for the world,” while older generations urge other family members to come along and vote.
Last week, a gigantic mural of a same-sex couple has appeared in Dublin, ahead of the referendum on equal marriage.
